About this pack
Intermediate · 5 levels
Pattern drills are short exercises on the fundamentals: word boundaries, signed numbers, spacing, repeated characters and letter case. Each rule is easy to state and easy to get slightly wrong, which is what makes them good practice.
You catch cat as a whole word but spare category, then numbers without leading zeros, so -5 is caught and 00 is spared. After that come exactly three words with single spaces, a character repeated three or more times in a row like brrr, and all-caps words like API, but not Ok.
Every level also has hidden checks: words you don’t see. Passing the words on screen solves a level; passing the hidden checks too ranks it.
It’s a good warm-up before the topic packs, starting with Shorthand patrol. If any rule here is new, the Hunter basics track starts from literal text and the dot.
